This is such an important topic. With the economy the way it is black businesses are suffering because we are not supporting them. Our brothas and sistas are trying to start businesses but they end up closing because we are not frequenting their spots, we are not buying their products…we’d rather buy the white mans things because we think that they are better. As brother Samori said they don’t care about us, they care about our dollar. From the products we put in our hair to the clothes we put on our back and the food we put in our bellies….they need to be for the betterment of our BLACK PEOPLE.
Ase. So sad to see assets squandered on enemies. This should be common sense, especially in the “revolutionary” community but the excuses from within fly rampant. All the solutions posed and still we cannot bring ourselves to practice what we preach. Imagine truly independent schools in what they think and say wholly financed by the community. Imagine a conference about us, by us, where not a penny goes to others’ hotels, airlines, rentals, food, kwk. Imagine our children seeing such a conference actually unfold right before their very eyes. I wonder what that would spark in their genius, truly seeing noncontradictory adult and elder warriors truly at work for self.
