Do we realize what Black nationalism is?….what it consist of?….what it will take to make a reality?….
Do we understand that it will take a lot of time, dedication and organization. When we call ourselves Black Nationalist are we thinking of just the “title” or what a Black Nation actually is?
Think about the one we live in…..
From the schools, to the stores, the hospitals, the streets, the neighborhoods and so on….
But let’s break it down some more…
What about who writes the books, who builds the streets, who owns your phone, your computer, who made your car, whose medicine do you take, whose bank do you use, what doctor do you go to?
Who makes your clothes, your pots and pans you cook with, whose food do you cook with? who builds the businesses in your community, who owns your city, who polices your neighborhood, what currency to you use to buy anything?
And how much of that is occupied by us?

A Black Nation is controlled by Black people…we own it and no one owns us…but since we don’t own too much…what does that make us?
Do you know that most of the million and even billion dollar businesses are financially backed by us? Yet we don’t even know it….so instead of handing our funds over to everyone else….why not keep it and build for ourselves?
Because the way I look at it, our oppressors are actually dependant on us….Black Nationalism ultimately means power..Black power that they absolutely do not want us to have.
I’ve said it a million times….If you are not speaking in terms of self determination and Black nationalism…then you are not seriously speaking about the solutions to the problems facing Black people.
